Esteemed Presidents, Chairs, Delegates, and Guests
We would all here at I’MUN’19 like to express our utmost pleasure in welcoming you all to this years I’MUN.
As Heads of I’MUN ’19s distinctive Fringes, our goal is to renovate, revamp, and build on the concept of MUN as a whole. Fringes in and of itself encourages new innovative methods, and areas of debates which can be pursued by the conference. This year, the Fringe team is working hard to bring three brand new committees to the paradigm of I’MUN 19’s Evolution of Revolutions.
First, the Saudi Arabian Crisis Committee which will see Saudi economic, royal, religious, and political elites scramble to react to a potential purge spurred by Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman’s seizure of power.
The second committee, the Geneva Historical Forum will see the Great Powers of Europe, Asia, and the Americas act out events leading up to the second great war.
These new committees encourage dynamic thinking, understanding, and debate sessions which not only test the knowledge of the delegates, but pushes them to think of the repercussions of their decisions, and what effect they will have not just on their allocation but on something far larger. Fringes essentially frees MUN of its redundant and mundane constraints allowing for flexibility and innovation to MUN as a theory and practice.
We hope to see you heavily involved in I'MUN '19's Fringes, and enjoy them as you go!
